Madelene Gibson Jackson (née Barstow; 31 October 1913 – 29 December 2023) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Madelene Jackson was born in Brewer, Maine, USA on 31 October 1913 to parents Roy Wellington Barstow and Lula Maddox.
In 1942, she married Donald Harry Jackson (1919–1970) and has three children: Donald, Gail and David. All three were there to celebrate her 110th birthday in 2023.
Jackson lived with her daughter, Gail Mahanna, until she was 108 years of age, when she moved to Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility.
Madelene Jackson died in Bourne, Massachusetts, USA on 29 December 2023 at the age 110 years, 59 days. She was one of the oldest living people in the U.S. state of Massachusetts at the time of her death.
