Mae Day Penny (née Morris; 5 May 1907 − 26 July 2017) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography
Mae Penny was born in King William County, Virginia, USA, on 5 May 1907. Her parents were Benjamin and Alice Morris. She married William Brown in early adulthood and then moved to Wilmington, Delaware. They had a son, William Brown Jr., who died aged 35 in 1979.
In 1959, Penny married Edward Penny. In 1971, they retired and returned to King William County, where they lived until Edward's death in 1982.
In her later years, Penny lived in a nursing home in Mechanicsville, Virginia, and was blind and hard of hearing. She died on 26 July 2017 at the age of 110 years, 82 days.
