Magdalena Kytnerova [Czech: Magdalena Kytnerová] (17 March 1911 – 8 December 2019) was an Austrian-born Czech centenarian who was the oldest living person in the Czech Republic at the time of her death.

Biography[]

Magdalena Kytnerova was born in Mödling, Austria-Hungary (now Austria) on 17 March 1911. After her parents died of Spanish Flu, she was raised by her grandmother and her aunt. She married in 1942 and moved with her husband to Brno, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). The couple had two children: a daughter and a son.

She became the oldest known living person in the Czech Republic after the death of 109-year-old Marie Schwarzova on 26 August 2019.

Magdalena Kytnerova died in Kromeriz, Zlin Region, Czech Republic, on 8 December 2019 at the age of 108 years, 266 days. Following her death, the then 108-year-old Marie Holikova became the oldest known living person in the Czech Republic.
