Magomed Labazanov [Russian: Магомед Лабазанов] (1 May 1890? – 11 September 2012) was a Russian longevity claimant. He claimed to have been the world's oldest living person.
Biography[]
Magomed Labazanov claimed to be born in the village of Gadari in Dagestan province in the Russian Empire on 1 May 1890, before Nicholas the Second took the throne. He claimed that the secret recipe for long life is "abstaining from alcohol, tobacco and women". Despite this, He married twice, and divorced his first wife due to not producing any children. He was a former sawmill worker, he never learned to read or write but claimed that a "proper diet" of fruits, dairy products, corn, whey, fruits, vegetables and wild garlic and "The true nourishment for centenarians" was also crucial to his longevity. Magomed Labazanov died in the village of Serebryakovka in the North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, Russia on 11 September 2012 at the claimed age of 122 years, 133 days. At the time of his death he had 18 grandchildren and more than 20 great- great-grandsons.

If Magomed age was true, he would have surpassed the current oldest male verified, Jiroemon Kimura by 6 years, and also become the oldest person born in the Russian Empire and Russia, surpassing Goldie Steinberg.
