Manassa Johnson (1800? – 24 April 1930) was a false or exaggeration Claim.
Biography[]
Manassa Johnson was born in the Central African Republic, she claimed that she was born in the year 1800. Johnson is said to have been a grown man with a family in 1833 when a shower of stars caused many persons to believe the world was coming to end. The aged Negro often told of his capture in Africa and of being taken to North Carolina, USA on a slave ship. He came to Kansas, USA in 1890. Manassa died on April 24 1930 in Missouri, USA and was buried in Kansas, USA. She was claimed to have died at the age of 130.
