Marcelo Ajalcrina Bonifacio [Peruvian: Ajalcriña] (14 January 1907 – 21 August 2017) was a Peruvian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of his death, he was the oldest known living man in Peru.

Biography[]

Marcelo Ajalcrina Bonifacio was born in Peru on 14 January 1907. He was one of the founding partners of the Chincha Single Drivers Union. He had 12 children (including Freddy, Jorge, and Rolando).

In January 2017, he celebrated his 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

In July 2017, the Provincial Municipality of Chincha, in charge of Eng. César Carranza Falla, granted him a resolution of recognition for being one of the longest-lived Chinchano citizens of this area.

Ajalcrina Bonifacio died from natural causes in Chincha Alta, Ica, Peru on 21 August 2017 at the age of 110 years, 219 days. At the time of his death, he had 10 living children, 32 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
