Margaret Galloway Whitlock (née Anderson; 5 March 1906 – 5 March 2019) was a validated American supercentenarian.
Biography[]
Whitlock was born in Seattle, Washington, United States on 5 March 1906 to Scottish immigrants William and Jeanie Stewart Anderson. She married Victor Whitlock on 20 August 1930, and they had three children. She worked as a teacher.
In her later years, Whitlock resided in an assisted living facility in Seattle, Washington. In November 2016, at the age of 110, she reportedly voted in the 2016 US Presidential election.[1]
Whitlock was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 7 February 2019. She was the oldest living person in the state of Washington at the time of her death. She died on 5 March 2019, her 113th birthday. She was the third and most recent person to die on their 113th birthday.
