Margherita Carossio-Monti (10 August 1905 – 30 June 2017) was an Italian-born Argentinian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Margherita was born as Margherita Carossio in Mombaruzzo, Piedmont, Italy on 10 August 1905. She moved with family to Argentina at age of 3, on ship named "Rey Victorio". They moved to San Martin, Buenos Aires. She married an Italian immigrant, Eduardo Monti. With her husband she moved to Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, where she lived until the end of her life. They had two children: Nelida and Roberto.
Margherita Carossio-Monti died in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 30 June 2017 at the age of 111 years, 324 days.
