Marguerite Catherine Garde (née Ruess; 23 March 1909 – 29 July 2019) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group.

Marguerite Catherine Ruess was born in New York City on 23 March 1909, to Anna W. and Charles Christian Ruess. She was the oldest of three children and grew up in The Bronx, New York. She began working as teenager in order to support her family.

After working for a time as a secretary in Manhattan, New York, Garde went on to work in radio in the Rockefeller Center just prior to and during WWII. She witnessed many live radio shows that were performed in front of live audiences, and got to meet some of the famous celebrities of the time.

In 1942, Garde married her husband, Edward Garde, just before he enlisted in the army and went overseas. After WWII, they moved to New Jersey where they raised their two children. After her children grew up, Garde went back to work as a legal secretary until she retired.

Garde was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and baking. She and her husband enjoyed taking driving trips in their retirement, many times visiting family and friends in distant places.

After her husband's death, Garde moved to a residential community in Denville, New Jersey, where she resided for 12 years. At the age of 103, she moved to a nursing home in Parsippany, New Jersey. She died on 29 July 2019 at the age of 110 years, 128 days.
