Marguerite Nerny (née Stäger; 28 July 1905 – 17 December 2015) was a Swiss-born Canadian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest living person born in Switzerland.

Biography[]

Marguerite Nerny was born in Vaud, Switzerland on 28 July 1905. She emigrated to Canada in 1929. She married Eugene Nerny and had seven children, two of whom died at a very young age. She was widowed in 1980.

She lived with her eldest daughter, Jacqueline until age of 108, when she moved to Habitations Bordeleau, Saint-Charles-Borromee.

Nerny died in Saint-Charles-Borromee, Quebec, Canada on 17 December 2015 at the age of 110 years, 142 days.
