Maria Agustina Reyes Herrera de Florez [Spanish: María ... Flórez] (8 August 1909 – 18 October 2019) was a Colombian supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.
Biography[]
Maria Agustina Reyes Herrera de Florez was born in the village of Martinez, Cerete, Cordoba, Colombia on 8 August 1909. She was the daughter of Rosa Herrera, who was single at the time. Later in her life, her father gave her his last name. She married Jose Maria Florez Negrete in Cerete and had 12 children with him.
Reyes de Florez died in Martinez, Cerete, Cordoba, Colombia on 18 October 2019 at the age of 110 years, 71 days. At the time of her death, she had at least 35 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, a ''big number'' of great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchildren.
