Maria Brandes (11 August 1902 – 6 February 2013) was a Slovakian-German supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 31 March 2018.
Biography
Maria Brandes was born in Trnava, Austria-Hungary (now Slovakia) on 11 August 1902. In 1910, she met the emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria.
Brandes died in Bavaria, Germany on 6 February 2013 at the age of 110 years, 179 days. She is currently the titleholder for oldest person ever born in Slovakia.
