Maria Concepcion Bravo Chavez [Spanish: María Concepción Bravo Chávez] (1 April 1913 – 26 June 2025) was a Mexican supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest known living person in Mexico, after Eulalia Bravo Bravo.
Biography
Maria Concepcion Bravo Chavez was born in Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico on 1 April 1913 as the third youngest of 10 children. Her parents married in 1917, but passed away when she was 5 years old due to the Spanish Flu Pandemic.
Bravo Chavez got married and had seven daughters.
Her secret to longevity was her natural diet. She would have an apple each morning with an empty stomach and helped those in greatest need without seeking anything in return.
As of May 2024, Bravo Chavez had 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren and lived with her daughters.
Later Life
Bravo Chavez lived in Mexico City with her daughters. She was still in good health (even in her centenarian years).
Maria Concepcion Bravo Chavez died in Mexico City, Mexico on 26 June 2025 at the age of 112 years, 86 days.
