Maria Françoise Pauline Gauvin (née Hameline; 22 August 1913 – 30 November 2024) waa a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Maria Gauvin was born in Saint-Anne-Sur-Vilaine, Brittany, France, on 22 August 1913, to Jean Marie and Francoise Marie Hameline. Her parents were both farmers, as was her husband-to-be. On 1 October 1935, at age 22, Maria married Pierre Marie Gauvin (born 1908) in the same city as her birth. They went on to have six children together, three of which are still living. Sadly, Maria lost Pierre in 1977 – he was 69. After this she did not remarry.
Maria Gauvin died in Saint-Anne-Sur-Vilaine, Brittany, France on 30 November 2024 at the age of 111 years, 100 days.
