Maria Mojica Torres (Spanish: María Mojica Torres; 22 August 1903 – 30 April 2014) was a Puerto Rican supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Maria Mojica Torres was born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico on 22 August 1903 (claimed 3 May 1895). She was the daughter of Galo Mojica and Ines Penalver. She worked as a cook for Luis Munoz Marin and Carlos Romero Barcelo, governors of Puerto Rico.
Maria was married three times. She had one son. For some time, she lived in New York and there she founded her own store in 1990s. On her claimed 117th (109th) birthday, she was visited by Anibal Vega Borges, Mayor of Toa Baja.
Maria Mojica Torres died in her home in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, on 30 April 2014 at 10:45 AM.
