Maria Osswald (25 September 1901 – 29 March 2012) was a German supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Osswald was born in Hesse, Germany on 25 September 1901. She celebrated her 110th birthday on 25 September 2011. Following the death of Karolina Grober on 21 November 2011, Osswald became the second-oldest known living person in Germany, behind Elisabeth Schneider.
Osswald died in Bavaria, Germany on 29 March 2012 at the age of 110 years, 186 days. Her case was posthumously validated by the GRG on 11 April 2015.
