Maria Veiga Amado (9 October 1905 – 6 May 2018) was a Cape Verdean supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Maria claimed to be born on 9 October 1905 in Piquinho, Fogo, Portuguese Cape Verde (now Cape Verde). She had six children (five girls, one boy).
On her claimed 110th birthday, she had 23 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren. Then, her oldest living daughter was 84 and her youngest was 67. Also, her oldest granddaughter was 65 years at that time.
On 9 October 2017, Maria Veiga Amado celebrated her 112th birthday.
Veiga Amado died on 6 May 2018 in Sao Filipe, Cape Verde at the claimed age of 112 years, 209 days.
