Longevity claimant |
Maria Virgen Rojas (born 22 November 1916 - September 2024) (claimed 1910) was a debunked Uruguayan supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Rojas claims to have been born in Durazno, Uruguay on 22 November 1910 (1916 according to birth records). Her mother Antonia Rojas (1888–1991), reportedly lived to be 103 years. In November 2020, Rojas had 13 children and that's when she allegedly celebrated her claimed 110th birthday.
At the time of her claimed 110th birthday in 2020, Rojas had grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as great-great-grandchildren.
Rojas died in September 2024 in Durazno Uruguay at the claimed age of 113.
Age Issues[]
Researchers on the110club discovered that Rojas exaggerated her age by 6 years early in life, and was therefore born in 1916, and not 1910.
