Mariana Damas Romao de Almeida [Portuguese: Romão] (22 February 1911 – 29 January 2022) was a Portuguese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Mariana de Almeida was born in Sobrado, Castelo de Paiva, Aveiro District, Portugal on 22 February 1911. Her parents were Eduardo da Maia Romao and Maria Damas Romao.
Mariana married Adolfo Joaquim de Almeida, of whom she was widowed. She lived in Paranhos, Porto, in her final years.
Mariana de Almeida died in Paranhos, Porto, Porto District, Portugal on 29 January 2022 at the age of 110 years, 341 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Porto District, and the third-oldest known living person in Portugal, behind Maria da Encarnacao Sousa and Isabel Gomes Sarmento.
