Marie-Helene Chanteperdrix [French: Marie-Hélène] (née Paccou; 5 March 1886 – 9 March 1998) was a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in France.

Biography[]

Marie-Helene Chanteperdrix was born as Marie-Helene Paccou in Saint-Pierre-Brouck, Nord, Hauts-de-France, France on 5 March 1886. At some point of her life, she married a man with the family name Chanteperdrix.

Following the death of 122-year-old Jeanne Calment on 4 August 1997, Chanteperdrix became the oldest living person in France. Her age was verified by Jean-Marie Robine and Laurent Toussaint, and (posthumously) validated by the GRG on 7 May 2002.

Marie-Helene Chanteperdrix died in Aubervilliers, Seine-Saint-Denis, Ile-de-France, France on 9 March 1998, four days after her 112th birthday. Following her death, Jeanne Dumaine became the oldest known living person in France.
