Marie-Louise Bernede [French: Bernède] (née Bourdens; 6 April 1894 – 11 December 2005) was a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Marie-Louise Bernede was born in Parentis-en-Born, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France on 6 April 1894. Her parents were Jean Bourdens (1862–?) and Jeanne Cazaux (1870–?).
On 21 May 1914, she married Louis Bernede (1890–1978) in Parentis-en-Born. They had at least two children: Genevieve and Jules.
Bernede's age was verified by Laurent Toussaint, and validated by the GRG on 24 July 2004.
Marie-Louise Bernede died in Mimizan, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France on 11 December 2005 at the age of 111 years, 249 days. At the time of her death, she was the fifth-oldest person in France, after Camille Loiseau, Lucie Pere-Pucheu, Marie-Simone Capony, and Marie Mornet.
