Marie-Rose Mueller (20 September 1896 – 5 November 2007) was a French-American supercentenarian who is officialy validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Marie-Rose "Muzzy" Mueller was born on 20 September 1896 in Beaucourt, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France. She was the 10th of 11 children born to Mathias and Marie Schleret. Marie-Rose arrived in the United States in 1915, and worked for several years as a governess. She married Swiss-born Oscar J. Mueller in June 1924 in New York City. They had three daughters: Monique (1927), Evelyn (1929) and Renee (1940). Oscar died in 1990.

Marie-Rose Mueller passed away in Stratford, Connecticut, United States on 5 November 2007 at the age of 111 years, 46 days. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest living person in the state of Connecticut (behind Elizabeth Stefan), the 22nd oldest living person in the United States and the 48th oldest living person in the world.
