Marie Leonie Liguinen (née Brudieux; 26 March 1901 – 2 April 2015) was a French supercentenarian whose age validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the doyenne of France from the death of Suzanne Burrier on 14 July 2013 until her own death on 2 April 2015.

Biography

Marie Liguinen was born in Saint-Salvadour, Correze, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France on 26 March 1901. She later moved in Ris-Orangis, Essonne.

In March 2004, Liguinen moved into the hospital Joffre Dupuytren in Draveil, where she stayed for the rest of her life. In April 2015, she celebrated her 114th birthday with her nephew. At the time, she was reported to be very weak.

Marie Liguinen died in Draveil, Essonne, Ile-de-France, France on 2 April 2015 at the age of 114 years, 7 days. Her age was verified by Laurent Toussaint and Daniel Lejay, and validated by the GRG on 23 May 2015.
