Marie Porter (née Donahue; 9 July 1907 – 22 March 2018) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of the her death, she was the oldest known person in Alabama, USA.

Biography

Marie Porter was born on 9 July 1907, to Thomas and Flora Kaiser Donahue. She married Jeff Davis Porter. The couple had no children. Porter was employed for many years with the Internal Revenue Service and later as a secretary at Brookley Field. She went to church every week up until she was 107 years old, as she was a devout Catholic. She was still driving well into her 90s.

Later in her life, Porter moved to the Somerby Retirement & Assisted Living Facility, and lived there until her death. On her 109th and 110th birthdays, her church friends (including the pastor), her caregivers and her family attended the celebrations.

Porter became the oldest known person in Alabama following the death of 110-year-old Pauline Brinkley on 22 July 2017. She died in Mobile, Alabama, on 22 March 2018 at the age of 110 years, 256 days.
