Marie Tresnakova [Czech: Marie Třešňáková] (29 November 1903 – 22 July 2011) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest living person in the Czech Republic at the time of her death.

Biography[]

Marie Tresnakova was born in Ústí nad Labem Region, Austria-Hungary (now Czech Republic) on 29 November 1903. She worked as a sales assistant. She was married, but the marriage was childless.

She lived in the retirement home since 1994, but remained active in her senior years. She was interested in television news and other shows. She liked sweets and her favorite drink was becherovka. "This is the best cure," she told journalists on her 105th birthday in 2008.

She became the oldest living person in the Czech Republic, following the death of 107-year-old Frantiska Koznarova on 8 February 2011.

Tresnakova died in Jirkov, Chomutov District, Ústí nad Labem Region, Czech Republic on 22 July 2011 at the age of 107 years, 235 days.
