Marietta Capizzi (30 January 1901 – 10 November 2013) was an Italian-born American supercentenarian. Her age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography[]
Marietta Capizzi was born in Italy on 30 January 1901. She was one of 18 children in her family. She moved to the United States when she was 18. She married Frank Capizzi in 1922 and were married for 73 years and they owned a candy store in Brooklyn. Her husband passed away in 1995 at the age of 99. They had two sons, Anthony and Peter. She lived at Sunrise Senior Living of Glen Cove since she was 105.
Marietta Capizzi died in Valley Stream, New York, USA, on 10 November 2013 at the age of 112 years, 284 days.
