Marija Rihar (16 August 1907 – 23 January 2014) was a Slovenian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Slovenia at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Marija Rihar was born in the area of present-day Slovenia (then part of Austria-Hungary) on 16 August 1907.
She became the oldest known living person in Slovenia, following the death of 106 year old Julijana Jamsek on 9 July 2013.
Marija Rihar died in the village of Gabrje, municipality of Tolmin, Slovene Littoral, Slovenia on 23 January 2014 at the age of 106 years, 160 days. Following her death, then-106-year-old Niko Dragos, only 11 days younger than her, became the oldest known living person in Slovenia.
