Marta Mattsson (née Wallmark; 20 September 1906 – 18 February 2017) was a Swedish supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2020.
Biography
Marta Paulina Wallmark was born in Stode, Vasternorrland, Sweden on 20 September 1906 as the daughter of Ingemar and Marta Flodin Wallmark. She married Sven Teodor Nüth and had two children, Sven and Britt-Marie. The couple divorced in the 1930s and Marta later remarried to Olof Mattsson.
Marta Mattsson died in Stode, Sundsvall on 18 February 2017, aged 110 years. 151 days. At the time, she was the second-oldest known living person in Sweden.
