Marta Pokorna [Czech: Marta Pokorná] (8 July 1900 – 30 December 2008) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest living person in the Czech Republic at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Marta Pokorna was born in South Bohemian Region, Austria-Hungary (now Czech Republic) on 8 July 1900. She was married to Frantisek Pokorny. The couple had two sons: Jiri and Bretislav.
She became the oldest living person in the Czech Republic, following the death of 109-year old Marie Kraslova on 1 July 2008.
Pokorna died in Dačice, Jindřichův Hradec District, South Bohemian Region, Czech Republic on 30 December 2008 at the age of 108 years, 175 days.
