Longevity claimant

Martina Sanchez de Arce (30 January 1908?/1 November 1913 – fl.31 January 2018) was a Paraguayan supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If her claimed age were true, she would have been the oldest known living person in Paraguay at the time she went to limbo.

Biography[]

Martina claimed to be born on 30 January 1908. She was added to civil registry in 1915 with date of birth 1 November 1913[1], but her relatives are certain that she is older. She had 11 children (7 were still alive in 2018).

On her claimed 110th birthday, she had 70 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren and approximately 200 great-great-grandchildren. Her youngest daughter, Eliodora Arce (aged 65 in 2018) told that her mother's secret of longevity is to stay lucid, without any illness and her good diet, which previously consisted of coconut, peanuts, milk and fruits.[2]

She was last reported alive on 31 January 2018 at the age of 104 years, 99 days (claimed 110 yeas, 1 day).
