Mary Coyne (née Carty; 30 March 1911 – 1 July 2019) was an Irish centenarian who was the oldest known living person in the Republic of Ireland since the death of Elizabeth Dempsey on 13 May 2018.
Biography[]
Mary Coyne was born in Roscommon, County Roscommon, Ireland (then part of the UK), on 30 March 1911. Her parents were Michael and Mary Carty. She had at least two children, daughter Pauline Peyton and son Tommy.
Coyne died in Castlerea, County Roscommon, Republic of Ireland on 1 July 2019 at the age of 108 years, 93 days.
