Mary Elizabeth Grant (née Williams; 22 November 1891 – 2 April 2002) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Mary Grant was born as Mary Elizabeth Williams in Wayne County, North Carolina, United States on 22 November 1891. Her parents were James Woodley Williams and Edith Elizabeth Hinson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in LaGrange. She married Andrew Jackson Grant on 31 July 1907 and they had eight children. She was honored by Lenoir County Council on Aging, 7 May 2001, as the oldest living resident of Lenoir County.
Mary Grant died at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, Lenoir County, North Carolina, United States on 2 April 2002, at the age of 110 years, 131 days.
