Mary Elizabeth "Mamie" McKinney (née Wallace; 30 May 1873 – 2 February 1987) was a validated American supercentenarian.
Biography
Mary McKinney was born in California, USA, on 30 May 1873. She was briefly recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's oldest person. Following the death of fellow 113-year-old Mamie Eva Keith in September 1986, she became the "world's oldest person" according to the Guinness Book of Records. However, her own death five months later in Sacramento, California, meant that she never appeared in the record book, even though her Guinness recognition made the news.
McKinney died in Sacramento, California, USA, on 2 February 1987[1][2]. She was 113 years and 248 days old.
