Mary Niceswanger (6 August 1906 – 25 January 2018) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography
Mary Niceswanger was born in Morgan County, Ohio, USA, on 6 August 1906. She was the second-oldest of 11 siblings, and was raised log cabin on a farm. As of July 2015, only one other sibling, Ruby, was still living. She worked as a cook for Marietta College and as a teacher’s helper before retiring several decades ago. She had one daughter who is now deceased.
Niceswanger was described as a very independent woman in her old age. She died in Marietta, Ohio, USA, on 25 January 2018 at the age of 111 years, 172 days.
