Mary Rothstein (6 March 1901 – 2 August 2011) was a Russian-Australian supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2012.[1]
Biography
Mary Rothstein was born in Russia on 6 March 1901. At the some point in life, she moved to Australia.
Rothstein died in Victoria, Australia on 2 August 2011 at the age of 110 years, 149 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Victoria, the second-oldest known living person in Australia (behind Miriam Schmierer), and the second-oldest known Jewish person in the world (behind Goldie Steinberg).[2]
