Mary Margaret Dean Smith (née Metzler; 7 October 1893 – 23 May 2006) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Smith was born on 7 October 1893 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was married twice; firstly to Albert Dean (1888–1931), and then to Anthony Smith (1892–1991).
For the last five years of her life, Smith lived in a nursing home in Jefferson, Ohio. She died on 23 May 2006 at the age of 112 years, 228 days.
