Mary E. "Maud" Robinson Wilkins (29 September 1799 - 17 August 1908) was an Irish-American centenarian who may have been the oldest person in the world at the time of her death. She may also have been the last surviving person born in the 1700s.
Biography[]
Mary E. Robinson Wilkins was born in Ireland on 29 September 1799 to William Robinson (1770-1828) and Margaret Kilpatrick. In 1805, William married another different lady before 1800, and had a child who was Mary's half sister and only sibling, Jane Robinson (1805-1858). Mary moved to Remington, Indiana, USA at some point in her life and lived there until her death in 1908.
Mary immigrated to America in 1835. She married Archabald Wilkins in 1829 and he died in 1865. She had four children. Wilkins was said to be in fine health near the end of her life, able to stand unassisted. She was survived by all four of her children, at least eight grandchildren, as well as great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. According to the 1900 census from Ancestry, Mary lived with her in-laws on South Rail Road in Carpenter, Jasper, Indiana. It says she has been in the U.S. for 68 years and both of her parents including her were all born in Ireland. She can speak English, read, and write in 1900.
Mary E. Robinson Wilkins died in Remington, Indiana, USA on 17 August 1908 at the age of 108 years, 313 days. Mary is currently buried at the Remington Cemetery in Remington, Indiana, tombstone here. Her death certificate does say she was born on September 29, 1799 and died on August 17, 1908 though, Wilkins died of senility according to the death certificate, death certificate here.

Wilkin's age has not been verified by Guinness World Records nor any other reliable source so it has not been confirmed that she was the world's oldest person at the time of her death or the last surviving person born in the 1700s. The 1900 census shows Mary's age to be 100 at the time, the census was set in January 1900, making Mary being born before 1800, or rather, 1799.
