Mary Caroline Erskine Williams (21 September 1884 – 10 October 1995) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Mary Williams was born in Honea Path, Anderson County, South Carolina, USA on 21 September 1884. Her parents were Lewis Allen Williams and Mary Elizabeth Adams.
As a young woman, she worked as a milliner. Later, during the World War II, she was a seamstress. She married William Arthur Erskine and they had three children.
In September 1994, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Mary Williams died in West Columbia, Lexington County, South Carolina, USA on 10 October 1995 at the age of 111 years, 19 days.
