Masamitsu Yoshida (吉田正光) (30 May 1904 – 29 October 2016) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). He is currently the oldest validated man ever from Tokyo Prefecture.
Biography
Masamitsu Yoshida was born in Japan on 30 May 1904. He was the oldest living man in Japan from the death of Yasutaro Koide on 19 January 2016 until his own death nine months later.
Yoshida died in Tokyo on 29 October 2016 at the age of 112 years, 152 days and was the second-oldest living man in the world, behind Israel Kristal. His death was not reported by media until mid-December 2016. Following his death, Masazo Nonaka became Japan's oldest living man.
