Masao Musha (Japanese: 武捨正雄; 25 March 1906 – 23 May 2016) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). He is the oldest (known) man ever from Gunma Prefecture.
Biography
Musha was born in Japan on 25 March 1906.
At the age of 100, he was still able to read newspapers and write letters. In May 2016, he celebrated his 110th birthday, becoming the first (known) male supercentenarian from Gunma Prefecture.
Musha died in Tsumagoi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, on 23 May 2016, at the age of 110 years, 59 days. His eldest son, Yukimasa, was still alive at the time.
