Matsu Uechi (11 December 1903 – 10 February 2014) was a Japanese-Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Matsu Uechi was born in Nago, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan on 11 December 1903. She migrated to Brazil in 1922. In 1925, she married Kankiti Uechi. The couple had seven children in total, two of whom died shortly after birth. Kankiti Uechi died at the age of 51 years.
Uechi died in Sao Paulo City, Sao Paulo State, Brazil on 10 February 2014 at the age of 110 years, 61 days. She was survived by four children, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
