Matyasne Kovesdi [Hungarian: Kövesdi Mátyásné] (16 November 1901 – c.8 June 2010) was a Hungarian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Hungary at the time of her death.
Biography
Matyasne Kovesdi was born in Bocsa, Bacs-Kiskun, Austria-Hungary (present-day Hungary) on 16 November 1901. She had five children. She lived on a farm in Bocsa until moved to apartment of her daughter in Kecskemet around 1989.
As of January 2009, she had 13 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She became the oldest known living person in Hungary, following the death of 108-year-old Margit Ambrus on 9 November 2009.
Kovesdi died in Kecskemet, Bacs-Kiskun, Hungary around 8 June 2010 at the age of 108 years, c.204 days. Following her death, 108-year-old Gyorgyne Toth became the oldest known living person in Hungary.
