Mihalyne Gneisz [Hungarian: Gneisz Mihályné] (née Erzsébet Frühwirth; 26 September 1873 – c.23 December 1980) was an Austrian-born Hungarian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Hungary at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Mihalyne Gneisz was born in Rotfalva, Austria-Hungary (present-day Rattersdorf, Austria) on 26 September 1873. She had four children.
Gneisz died of old age in Szombathely, Vas County, Hungary around 23 December 1980 at the age of 107 years, c.88 days. Her daughter, Rezsone Voros [Hungarian: Rezsőné Vörös] (née Ida Gneisz) (15 June 1908 – May 2011) lived to be 102 and one son lived to be at least 94.
