Mileva Grbic [Serbian: Милева Грбић] (15 September 1902 – 31 October 2010) was a Croatian-Serbian centenarian who was, at the time of her death, the oldest known living woman, and the second-oldest known living person in Serbia, behind Jovo Latinovic.
Biography[]
Mileva Grbic was born in Austria-Hungary (now Croatia) on 15 September 1902. Her parents married her when she was only 15 years old.
Her brother was Nicholas Zast (15 December 1898 – 11 November 2003), who died in Warren, Michigan, USA at the age of 104 years, 331 days.
She became the oldest known living woman in Serbia, following the death of 109-year-old Kostadinka Momirovic on 8 July 2009.
Mileva Grbic died in the Srem village of Hrtkovci, Serbia on 31 October 2010 at the age of 108 years, 46 days. Following her death, then-106-year-old Jelisaveta Veljkovic became the oldest known living woman in Serbia.
