Mildred Laura "Millie" Johnson (28 May 1913 – 10 February 2024) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Connecticut at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Mildred Johnson was born in Winchester, New Hampshire, USA on 28 May 1913.
As a centenarian, she moved into a senior living facility in Canaan, Connecticut, USA, where she currently resides. On her 108th birthday in 2021, she went on a motorcycle ride with her granddaughter.
In May 2023, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. At the time of her 110th birthday, she was still able to walk with the help of a walker.
Following the death of 111-year-old Mary Provost-Slocum on 18 June 2023, she became the oldest living person in the U.S. state of Connecticut.
Mildred Johnson died in Canaan, Litchfield County, Connecticut, USA on 10 February 2024 at the age of 110 years, 258 days.
