Mineno Yamamoto (Japanese: 山本みねの; 8 April 1897 – 1 May/11 September 2009) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Yamamoto was born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, on 8 April 1897. Following the death of Chisato Ito in February 2008, Yamamoto became the oldest living person in Fukuoka Prefecture. Her age was verified by Japan’s MHLW, Hamish Todd and Stefan Gelow, and validated by the GRG on 12 December 2008. For some time, she was a patient at the Shinyoshizuka Hospital in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.
Yamamoto died at the Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, between 1 May and 11 September 2009, at the age of 112 years, 23-156 days.
