Modena McCown (September 22, 1878 – June 8, 1989) was an American verified supercentenarian. She was born as Nancy Modena Hensley in Delta County, Texas. Her parents were John Calvin Hensley and Jane Taylor Hensley. John was a Civil War veteran. Jane Taylor passed away when McCown was only three years old. She had five siblings in total. The family maintained a farm of 103 acres.

Modena married William McCown when she was 35 years old. The couple lost their son in Second World War. Modena was very active in church as a Presbytarian. She became a widow in 1960. She moved to a nursing home in 1972. She died on June 8, 1989, at the age of 110 years, 259 days. Her sister, Mallie, died at age 106.
