Mollye Marcus (née Saltzman; 18 October 1899 – 18 February 2011) was a Belarusian-American supercentenarian whose age is officially validated by the Gerontology Research Group. She's currently the only validated supercentenarian from Belarus.
Biography
Mollye Saltzman Marcus was born in Lyakhavichy, Russian Empire, present-day Belarus, on 18 October 1899. At the age of four, she migrated to Council Bluffs, Iowa and married Abner Marcus in 1923. She moved to Auburn, Nebraska in 1931 and then relocated to Omaha until 1990. After that, she moved to California to be near family. She survived her husband, who died in 1964, her son-in-law Kurt Hirschinger in 2003 and daughter Beverly Bramson in 2004
Mollye Marcus died in California, USA on 18 February 2011 at the age of 111 years, 123 days. She was survived by daughter Darlene Hirschinger, son-in-law Bob Bramson, and six grandchildren.
