Monica Rodriguez [Spanish: Rodríguez] (10 May 1914 – 6 November 2022) was a Uruguayan centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Uruguay at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Rodriguez was born in Canelones Department, Uruguay on 10 May 1914. She had a sister who lived to be 102.
In June 2021, at the age of 107, she received the COVID-19 vaccine, making her one of the oldest known people to get vaccinated against the disease.
She became the oldest known living person in Uruguay, following the death of 109-year-old Julio Augusto Varela Lopez on 25 July 2022.
Rodriguez died in Canelones Department, Uruguay on 6 November 2022 at the age of 108 years, 180 days. Following her death, then 107-year-old America Moreira became the oldest known living person in Uruguay.
