He was born in Queenstown, Essequibo, Guyana on 22 July 1906. He was last confirmed alive on 5 August 2013 at the age of 107 years, 14 days. At that time, he lived in Georgetown, Guyana. He is the second-oldest known man ever from Guyana, behind Sonny Hendricks.
